What is
SSCiEX ?
SSCiEX or Sarawak Science Centre Interactive Experience, is Sarawak's first large-scale interactive science centre. Located at Jalan Stadium, Petra Jaya, Kuching, SSCiEX sits on a 10.97-acre site with a 5-storey main building.

Mission
Empowers people of all ages to understand this world and themselves better. Creates a STEM-oriented society that lives in harmony with nature. Creates a society that is motivated to learn, think for itself, ask the right questions, and thus look into the future with confidence.

The Pioneer Establishment Team
The Sarawak Science Centre was first established by the Pioneer Establishment Team, made up of officers seconded from the Sarawak Research and Development Council (SRDC), the Centre’s parent organisation. The team laid the foundation for the organisation by building its governance framework, operational systems, staffing structure, and core programmes. This work prepared the Centre for operational readiness and the recruitment of its permanent workforce. With their expertise, commitment, and collaborative spirit, the Pioneer Establishment Team turned the Sarawak Science Centre’s vision into a functioning organisation, and set the direction for its future growth as a hub for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and public engagement.
