About the Visit
The Common Science Lab (CSL) Pilot Run marked the first trial session of SSCiEX’s new laboratory facility in Miri. Designed to support schools with incomplete science facilities, the visit provided students and teachers from SMK Lutong with access to a fully equipped laboratory environment for hands-on STEM learning aligned with the national curriculum.
Highlight of the Programme:
The programme featured practical experiments on heat and thermal properties, waves, and forces and motion, allowing students to directly apply scientific concepts using proper laboratory apparatus. The session successfully demonstrated the full functionality of the CSL facility, engaged 59 students in experiential learning, and validated the CSL model as an effective solution for enhancing science education in schools with limited laboratory resources.
