Head of State of Sarawak visits SSCiEX
The couple toured the centre, tried the interactive exhibits and met visitors during an hour-long visit.
The Sarawak Science Centre (SSCiEX) was honoured to receive an official visit from the Head of State of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, on Wednesday.
The couple arrived at 2.30 pm and was warmly received by the Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak, Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, together with his wife, Datin Sri Kelly Rebid, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak, Datu Adana Jed, Managing Director of SSCiEX, Ts Dr Peter Morin Nissom, members of the SSCiEX Board and heads of department.
During the hour-long visit, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah toured the facilities and experienced several of the interactive exhibits available at the centre.
The couple also took the opportunity to interact with visitors and members of the public, adding a warm and engaging element to the visit.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Head of State and Toh Puan to experience firsthand the interactive facilities and educational experiences offered at SSCiEX, as well as observe the centre's efforts in promoting interest and engagement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The visit reflects the significance of SSCiEX in supporting Sarawak's efforts to strengthen STEM education and encourage greater public engagement with science through interactive and experiential learning.
